I know I haven't been here for a while, also some stuff here hasn't worked that fine with me I dunno why, but I want to speak about a certain topic that I believe has been misunderstood from my original intentions.
It is about the very end of the series. I've oppossed to post any of that due to the huge spoiler contents it has, but there has been one reason in particular why I've been deleting them in particular and I want to stop at that, following that reasoning.
Because people use to put it in the VERY character intro, rather than in the end. And THAT is where the major spoilers are. That being said I don't mind if we develop the end of the series for the pages of the main characters as I believe it should be, for any Wiki that has an intention to give information. However given the structure of this Info I want to make sure it is where it real belongs, at the very end of the page and not in the beginning so as to avoid spoiling right from the start, which the anime did in a very stupid way.
I hope I can count with your collaboration on this behalf, and also, to Lau, I've been checking some other wikias and there is a more simple and still good Character Profile table we could use, think you're available to set it up?
It is a concern but as a wiki we must provide the information - but putting it in the correct sections is the best way. Might I suggest we plonk a spoiler box on the main page.
It seems somebody else, apart from the known Kakijun is translating Another World. Though it seems that Kakijun is more skilled sub-wise, according to this other user who had a bit of trouble with a word. Well can't say for sure cuz I haven't watched the episode, but it will surely come in handy.
I do trust them, because they work smoothly. As for the episode you need a good reproducer that can show you the sub the file has, in my case windows media does not work for that so I use one called Media Player Classic - Home Cinema.
Ok buddies, I've found episode two and its sub, although atm they must be downloaded, and it is quite heavy (1gb). But well if you're a fan of the series, like me, and of hi-quality stuff, then it shouldn't be problem....I guess :P
It seems the release of each Another World episode (with or without subtitles) and their availability could be tricky to time, so it might be a close progress updating and editing articles related to the drama.
I have a small request. Would it be possible for you to add Aru Akise to the Main Characters tab of the Navigation Bar on the top of the Wiki? I believe Akise qualifies as a main character, and his position as a main character would be compromised if he is misplaced and left in the dark.
On a side note, is it all right to change the candidates for featured article on the main page after next month? It's only because other candidates who are not Diary Owners such as Deus, Akise and Nishijima could be more popular than Diary Holders such as Karyuudo, Kamado and John Balks (who is a troll).
I'd if I knew how. I still don't know how to completelly manage the admin powers. I believe either Lau or Evil may help you on that behalf. And I wonder why cannot I see the image slider at the main page ¬¬
How do you add image galleries to a page that ar enot on the page itself?
Like Yukiteru's image gallery that is on a different page?
I would like to add like 6 to 12 images per episode in a different page to give people an impression of the episode e.g.
Or maybe could you just prepare an image gallery for every episode? Then I could continue my work there ^^ (just finished the completion of the 2nd episode's summary + muru muru's section :) but I don't know how to fill in the manga-anime differences..)
You can add a gallery image yourself, no need for a tab one, all you need to do is add the proper section, which is quite easy to do. Just do this ==Image Gallery== or you can go to the upper menu, select where it says "Normal.." (visual mode) and put heading 2. Make you sure you add the gallery AFTER the episode's summary, and also after a Muru Muru section if there is any (this goes for anime episodes only of course) and before any "Manga & Anime Difference" and or any "Trivia".
For manga chapter pages this will be easier. Well either you use visual or source mode, at the right of the page there is a menu, you should be able to see where it says "Gallery". Press there and a new menu will arise.
Now do the following:
Gallery Position: Set it to Center
No. of Columns: Set it to 3 so that you can put at most 9 images.
Photo spacing: Set it to Medium or Small, NEVER Large.
Photo Orientation: Select "Crop them to Landscapes" the other three don't seem to fit too much (I do think personally).
When you're done with that, see where it says "Gallery Preview"? (just below of the menu we're now) and simply select Add Photo. There you will have (I pressume) the whole photo database at your disposal. You can upload photos directly from there, or if you uploaded them and dunno where they are but know their name, you can type it and search for it easier.
When you have added the 9 photos (by pressing select) go to Borders and Layouts, just make sure that everything is left in default, no need to change anything of that. That is unless the description of the photos, that you can change manually by clicking on modify when you put the cursor over them in the gallery menu, is too long, then change Caption Size to small. Which I believe may happen more than once.
When you're done, make sure everything is as tidy as possible, if you're having complications, leave it there and then I take care of the rest.
For example in the episode of Reisuke's intro, don't put so many images related to the dirty magazines, as they are of more or less the same moment plot-wise.
Also since you upload a lot of images, imma ask you that for simplicity. You name them according to the episode. Like Image1-1 Image 1-2 for the first episode, and Image10-1 or Image12-2 for other episodes.
That way we can search for the images ourselves with a MUCH easier time and we won't have to dig in the whole database. Following the above procedure, Upload at most 30 images per episode, and then I will arrange them.
That means the last image you upload must be named ImageXX-30
With XX being the number of the episode. With numbers below 10, please don't put a 0 first, i.e. Image01-01.
Yours is also very appreciated. Also, thanks for uploading so many images, but try to not use them all. Try to post photos of the most important events. Overloading with images makes the page look messy with so many of them. Also different sizes and the text itself is reduced to a minimum in width and makes it hard to read content.
Try to keep the image range between 210-250, I think less. Around 210-220 is quite ideal indeed.
besides.. I think I have the one u requested somewhere... let me look into it for a moment.. ^^
mhmm.. is there another way of posting my images without making them overwhelming?
or should I/we add an image gallery to every episode e.g.?
and maybe also for every character? Because sometimes they have one and sometimes they don't :d
You did it, my boy! Ya did it! The new background and colors blew my mind!! Good job, man, good job! I can now look at this wiki and grin. Aw crap, I just missed you on chat again, didn't I. Damn, hopefully we can talk at some point 'cuz I agree, we need to do some more work.
Hey man. Just thought I drop by to say thanks for making the pages for some of the episodes. It's really helpful. To make it more convenient, I made the page: Episodes so now we can see the whole list of 'em. So anyhoo, thanks man.
